Everyone knows cabbage is pretty cheap and very versatile. Business Insider has even predicted that 2026 will be the year of the cabbage.  

Amelia Tarpey, Program and Publicity Manger for GrowNYC Greenmarkets, says right now, farmers markets across the city are selling varieties of cabbage either per head at around $4 to $8, or $3 to $5 per pound.
